This role also requires a background in math or computer science, along with some study or insight into human behaviour to help make informed predictions.

Preparing, transforming and reshaping data for end goals that range from building advanced statistical models to subscribing to visual alerts via a data visualization stack. This is the workhorse of today’s analytics heavy transformation.

The next in rung of the BI, OLAP, Reporting/MIS ladder. Data Visualization is the key to encapsulating the adage “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Current data visualization platforms help to build intuitive, storyboarded data transformation and analytics journeys – literally frame by frame.
Geo-Spatial
Subset of data visualization where a data feed of GIS, spatial data, satellite imagery, etc. is ingested to build visual reports and storyboards.
